LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Michael Gick quit his job as Principal of Rossville High School and Middle School two weeks ago to run CBD Solutions full time in Lafayette.

Monday, News 18 told you about how more stores are starting to sell CBD products in Greater Lafayette.

But can a business survive on CBD products alone here? Michael Gick changed careers to find out.

"I left behind a position I loved dearly and people that I loved very much," said Gick. "But I do think that this is a product that is helping change people's lives."

Although changing lives was part of being Principal at Rossville Middle and High Schools, Michael Gick feels like he can help even more people now.

"Depression rates are at an all time high, suicide rates are very high," said Gick.

He saw it with students in Rossville.

Gick believes in CBD Solutions.

"Testimonials are sharing that they are having really good results without the side effects of some of the medicines that they're on," said Gick.

Gick said CBD products are so versatile. They can help with ADD, ADHD, depression, anxiety or anyone looking for physical pain relief. It can even help pets.

"We have dog and cat CBD's, mix it in with food, helps with anxiety, calms them down storm wise," said Gick.

CBD oil comes in many forms, you can even consume it in beauty products. Gick likes it in bottles of water.

"It's nine times faster and absorbent than anything we have, high content of CBD," said Gick.

Gick said if you're buying CBD products, make sure they're legitimate.

"Your bar code, your QR code is what is required by Senate Bill 42 where people can check the batch quality," said Gick.

That's one reason he got into this, he wanted to sell the product honestly.

"There's a lot of price gauging, there's a lot of misinformation," said Gick. "We want to make sure we are here to educate people and also offer a product at a good price."

Gick hopes he can take his career full circle, with CBD products in the hands of students who need them.

"If you have verified, third party, sealed products, I believe that schools are going to have to have systems in place to allow those with parent notes," said Gick.

Gick said he wouldn't have left Rossville if he didn't have full confidence in the product.

"Absolutely, I don't question it at all," said Gick.

Gick and his co-owners are expanding CBD Solutions to West Lafayette, Plainfield, Nashville and South Beach Florida.
