WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Purdue All-American wide receiver Rondale Moore is opting-out of the 2020 college football season due to COVID-19 concerns.
Moore announced the news via Twitter on Thursday evening, the day before Purdue was scheduled to start fall camp. In his announcement he said "given the unprecedented circumstances we are currently living in, the best choice for my family and I is to opt out of the upcoming season and prepare for the 2021 NFL Draft."
Moore was a unanimous first team All-America selection as a true freshman, but played in just four games as a sophomore due to injury.
Moore becomes the first Boilermaker to opt-out of the season.
