LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Subaru of Indiana Automotive needs your help making this year's CASA Cycling Challenge a success.
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) help children that are involved in cases of abuse or neglect.
The 24-hour bicycle challenge is the biggest fundraiser for the CASAs for Kids Fund.
So far, 153 riders have signed up this year, but they need more to reach their $100,000 fundraising goal.
So, the registration deadline has been extended to the day of the event to encourage more people to sign up.
"It is so important to the CASA program," said CASAs for Kid Fund Founder Patti O'Callaghan. "The CASA program worked so hard during this COVID year advocating for 465 children."
They have about $50,000 raised right now.
The challenge is from 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7 to 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 8 at the SIA test track.
