WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Purdue Sports) — Purdue sophomore David Bell was named the co-Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week after hauling 13 receptions for 121 yards and three touchdowns in the Boilermakers' 24-20 come-from-behind victory over Iowa on Oct. 24. He shared the recognition with Wisconsin quarterback Graham Mertz.
The weekly honor is Bell's first Offensive Player of the Week recognition and his fifth overall in his career. Bell was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week a school-record-tying four times in 2019.
Bell's effort against Iowa improved his streak to four consecutive games with over 100 yards receiving dating back to last season and marked his seventh career game over the century mark in merely 13 games played.
