WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The Purdue University Senate has given its final stamp of approval on the resolution to add free feminine hygiene products on campus.
Professor Audrey Rupple said they will focus on upgrading dispensaries in the gender-neutral and women's bathrooms first. In a year or so, she said they will look at putting products in men's restrooms for transgender students and staff.
This resolution was first discussed at the January meeting. Leaders of the university decided to move forward with implementing this in early February.
Only one member of the Senate voted against the resolution.
