WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Nojel Eastern is headed to Ann Arbor.
Two days after entering the NCAA's transfer portal, the former Purdue guard announced on social media Thursday he is committing to Michigan.
As a junior, Eastern averaged 4.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists a game but shot just 42.0% from the field and 48.5% from the free-throw line.
Eastern is a two-time Big Ten All-Defensive team selection.
The Evanston, Illinois native is the second player to transfer from the program this offseason. Matt Haarms announced his committment to Brigham Young in April.
Eastern will have one year of eligibility remaining.
