WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Purdue University will soon submit plans for a New Building for Nursing and Pharmacy. The new building will be an active clinical learning center. Both the college of pharmacy and nursing will be in it. Marion Underwood the Dean for the College of Health and Human Sciences says this new building will be beneficial to the state of Indiana.
"This building will be wonderful for the state of Indiana,” said Marion Underwood Dean, College of Health and Human Sciences at Purdue. “Two-thirds of our nurses go on to work in Indiana clinics and hospitals and two-thirds of pharmacists in Indiana are trained at Purdue.”
The project will cost around 98 million dollars. Purdue plans to submit the plans to the state for the 2021 fiscal year. If this building were, approved Purdue would be the second in the nation to have a collaborative facility.
