WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Furst things first.
Purdue landed its first commitment for its 2021 recruiting class Monday night.

Caleb Furst of Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian verbally announced his commitment to the Boilermakers.
The four-star big man held offers from Michigan State, Virginia and Indiana among several others. He also drew interest from North Carolina and Duke.
Furst is ranked as the seventh best power forward in the country by 247 Sports.
The 6'8 junior is averaging 22.3 points and 13.5 rebounds this season. The Braves are currently ranked second in Class 2A with a 20-3 record.
