WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Purdue has added another significant piece to its future.
Silver Creek (Sellersburg, Ind.) four-star forward Trey Kaufman announced his committed to Matt Painter and the Boilermakers on Friday.
Kaufman picked Purdue over Indiana, Indiana State, North Carolina and Virginia.
The 6-8, 210-pound Kaufman averaged 25.8 points and 9.6 rebounds as a junior at Silver Creek.
He was the first junior named Indiana's Gatorade Player of the Year since Greg Oden in 2005.
Kaufman joins Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian forward Caleb Furst in Purdue's 2021 recruiting class.
