WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — From Purdue to Provo.
Former Purdue center Matt Haarms commited to BYU on Thursday.
Haarms chose the Cougars over Kentucky and Texas Tech.
Haarms entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on April 6. His initial list of schools included Arizona, Arkansas, Boston College, BYU, Gonzaga, Kentucky, Memphis, Minnesota, Texas Tech and UNC Greensboro.
As a graduate transfer, Haarms is immediately eligible to play next season in Provo.
The 7-foot-3 Amsterdam native averaged 8.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.0 blocks this past season for the Boilermakers.
