WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Purdue University has once again won the Polar Plunge Campus Challenge.
Hundreds of people were "Freezin' for a Reason" on Purdue's campus and it paid off.
Purdue raised over $80,000 this year, topping the list of Indiana colleges for the ninth year in a row.
That money will go to Special Olympics Indiana. A portion of the money will also help out local Special Olympics teams with everything from uniforms and equipment to training costs.
Event leaders told News 18 this year was the biggest turn-out they've seen so far.
The fundraiser ends in March. If you would like to donate click here.
