WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI)—Purdue University Global is making strides to slow the spread of COVID-19.
It's launching a contact tracing course that's open to the public. Contact tracing is the process of identifying people wh.o may have come into contact with an infected person. The course will take six to eight hours to complete. Those who successfully finish will receive a certificate of completion.
Dean and vice president-elect for the School of Nursing Melissa Burdi said this is important knowledge as the state re-opens.
"Learners who do complete the course are able to take their certificate of completion and demonstrate their ability to serve as a contact tracer to employers, to the local health department and be a part of the fight in reducing the spread of COVID-19," said Burdi.
The cost for the course is $295. But the fee will be waived for a limited time. For more information click here.
