WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI)—This weekend Purdue University students had the opportunity to hear from alumni.
The Purdue Rising Professionals program exists to honor distinguished young alumni. It's a two day event on campus from March 8th-9th.
Six young alumni that have graduated from Purdue in the last five to ten years are welcomed back. The goal is for them to share their college experiences with students.
It's aimed at helping students pave their path through college. Publicity Chair Ashley Fritz said it's a great way to encourage students.
"All of these alumni have had incredible career success in their five to ten years out of Purdue," said Fritz. "So we really want to highlight what it was they did at Purdue that prompted them to have that early career success."
Sunday alumni shared their current life experiences with the campus as a whole. The public was welcomed.
The event was held at 4pm at 128 Memorial Hall Dr in West Lafayette.
