WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Purdue Football co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach Anthony Poindexter will leave his position at Purdue and join Penn State's defensive staff.
Poindexter was hired in 2017, and was named co-defensive coordinator this off-season.
Pete Thamel broke the news of Poindexter's departure on Twitter on Sunday night. Less than an hour later, Poindexter's son AJ confirmed the story.

At this time, it is unclear who will replace Poindexter at Purdue.
