TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — The Tippecanoe School Corporation will have 53 propane fueled school buses by next school year.
Every year the corporation replaces ten percent of its fleet.
That means 12 new buses will replace the oldest ones.
Wednesday the TSC board approved permission to seek out grants to receive the buses.
The propane fuel has more initial cost then diesel, but it's environmentally friendly and allows for better gas mileage.
