Power outages reported in Carroll County, community center open

Carroll County Community Center welcomes those who are being affected by the extreme cold.

CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — The Carroll County Community Center is welcoming those who are being affected by power outages and by the extreme cold.  The Carroll County Community Center is serving as a warming center Wednesday at 908 E Columbia St, in Flora.

Visitors will have access to various amenities including basketball courts, a weight room, and a children's center. Jennifer Dill the Carroll County Community Center Director said she is encouraging anyone affected by the cold to stop by.

" It is so cold outside. If you get stuck on the side of the road we are encouraging you to call 911. This is an emergency situation. Come in get warm," said Dill.

The warming center will remain open through 8 p.m. Wednesday.
