CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — An Illinois man is being held in the Carroll County Jail after police said he stole a car and led officers on a multi-county chase.
Carroll and Tippecanoe County authorities arrested Eddie Gordon, 27, Tuesday. Gordon is facing preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement, reckless eriving and possession of stolen property.

Sheriff Tobe Leazenby said Gordon stole a 2019 Dodge Challenger from a rental lot at the Indianapolis International Airport. Carroll County deputies picked up the chase from the Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office on Old State Road 25. Police said Gordon was going as high as 120 miles per hour at times on the road.
Leazenby said the chase continued through the City of Delphi before Gordon got back on Old State Road 25 going southbound. The chase ended near a bridge over Deer Creek when police said Gordon drove the vehicle into a ditch to avoid stop sticks.
Gordon was arrested and taken to the Carroll County jail. No injuries were reported.
