Police: Advance America Cash Advance robbed

Lafayette police are looking for a man who robbed a Cash Advance store at gunpoint Tuesday morning.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Lafayette police are looking for a man who robbed a Cash Advance store at gunpoint Tuesday morning. Lt. Scott Galloway said police were called to the Advance America Cash Advance Store on Elmwood Ave around 10:20 Tuesday morning.

Galloway said a man walked into the business with a handgun and demanded money then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount.
Right now police are inside the business collecting evidence. K-9 officers are also out searching for that man who is still believed to be armed. No injuries were reported.

Anyone with more information about this robbery is asked to call LPD at 807-1200 or 9-1-1.
