LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Traffic was backed up Friday morning on I-65 in Tippecanoe County after a rollover crash that sent a person to the hospital, according to Indiana State Police.
Trooper Stephen Grayson said a vehicle rolled in the northbound lanes about 7 a.m. It happened near the Dayton exit at mile marker 168.
The person was able to get out of the vehicle, and was taken to the hospital, according to Grayson. Their injuries are unknown.
Grayson said the first crash led to a second between two vehicles. There were no injuries in the second crash.
Our News 18 reporter on scene said there was ice on the side of the interstate. Parts of I-65 were closed briefly Friday, however troopers have now cleared the scene.
