LAFAYETTE, Ind (WLFI) — A fire late Tuesday night sent two adults and three children to the hospital. According to the Lafayette Fire Department, at 11:50 p.m. crews responded to 2201 Osceola Dr. for a report of smoke inside a home. That is on the city's southside near 18th Street and Brady Lane.
Upon arriving on the scene, crews located a fire in the kitchen area.
Two adults and three children were taken to Franciscan Health Lafayette East for smoke inhalation. All five were treated and released early Wednesday morning.
The fire was contained to the kitchen area, however smoke caused damage throughout the home.
The fire is still under investigation.
