WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The Purdue Challenge 5k run/walk scheduled for April 18 has been canceled due to coronavirus concerns. It comes the day after Purdue moved all classes online and suggested all gatherings of 50 or more should be postponed.
Organizers say they are working on refunds for those who've signed up.
The annual 5k run/walk benefits the Purdue Center for Cancer Research. The race was in its 13th year and has raised more than $1 million for cancer research at Purdue.
