A round of scattered showers & storms will pass 5-10 a.m. Thursday morning with 40-50% coverage. The best coverage of 60-70% will be in Illinois, however.
An isolated severe storm cannot be ruled out west of a Covington to Otterbein to Monon line.
Lulling should occur late morning to midday with just an isolated shower or two with south-southwest winds 15-25 mph & temperatures warming to 70-75.
This is due to Effective Bulk Shear values in our western & northwestern areas up to 40 knots, up to 200 m2/s2 Effective Helicity, but ML CAPE will remain in the 250-500 J/kg range.
Some new scattered showers & storms will pass the area Thursday 2-6 p.m. with up to 45% coverage.
An isolated severe storm is possible along & south of a Peru to Lafayette to Covington.
Showers & storms Thursday night-Friday AM will be followed by lulling, then some showers & storms in the southeast & cool scattered rain elsewhere.
An isolated severe storm is possible southeast of a Covington to Frankfort to Greentown line.
Any threat would be on the table with that storm.
Total rainfall from Thursday morning to Friday evening will run 0.50-1" area-wide with potential of a couple to few isolated +1" amounts.
