Here is the latest update on this week's weather.

Updated: Oct 14, 2018 9:16 PM

With showers south & northwest of us Sunday afternoon, we were able to get more sun.  Thus, highs reached the upper 50s to lower 60s southwest to northeast, higher than Friday's projection of lower to upper 50s from southwest to northeast.

In southern Indiana, where there were more clouds & showers, the high was only in the lower 50s, like at Washington & Bloomington.  Greencastle reached 55.

Some showers should arrive tonight, then exit early tomorrow.  Rainfall amounts should average light at around 0.10" or less.  Lows will drop to 38-44.

Tomorrow will average partly cloudy.  It will be cooler with highs in the mid 40s to lower 50s with a strong northwest wind at 15-30 mph.  There will be a definite chill & edge to the air!

With the wind calming & sky going clear tomorrow night, lows of 28-33 are likely with frost.  This will be the coldest night of the fall so far after 31-36 Friday morning.

Tuesday looks mostly sunny & breezy to windy with highs 50-55 & west to west-northwest winds at 15-25 mph.

Lows of 30-35 should follow Tuesday night.

Wednesday-Friday look dry with sun & highs near 50 to the 50s overall with lows near 30 to the 30s.  One night may feature parts of the area dropping into the upper 20s.

Cold front should pass Saturday morning.  At this point it looks dry with all the moisture tied up south of here.

Saturday looks breezy to windy, dry & cool with northwest winds 20-30 mph & highs only 50-55.  Lows Saturday night may drop to 29-33.  It will be a cold Purdue-Ohio State match-up!

Dry, cool weather will carry us right to October 26/27 with below normal temperatures dominating.

Clipper may bring a few showers, then a few flakes near October 27-28.  It looks cold as we approach Halloween with highs in the 40s & lows in the 20s!

Warmth should overspread from the west & northwest as we end October & move through early November.  It may still be quite cold right up to Halloween, however.

Temperatures will end up above normal for the first half of November.

It also looks drier than normal.

Bitterly cold weather may arrive mid November & last to into late November.  Temperatures 20-25 degrees below normal with some snow are possible.
