Here are the peak wind gusts today! Snowfall totals will be coming soon.
A few flurries are possible tonight-tomorrow morning with mostly cloudy skies & lows of 15-21. Wind chills will run 2-9 with breezy conditions. West winds will still run 13-24 mph after gusts this evening up to 31 mph.
Up to 2" of snow has fallen in the far northwestern part of the viewing area, but 1" of snow or less has fallen over the rest of the area. Even light snowfall will blow over roads in these winds & any moisture will refreeze. Bridges & overpasses are already freezing over as of 6 p.m.
Any flurries will exit tomorrow morning, followed by gradual clearing with time. It will still be breezy tomorrow with west winds at 14-25 mph. Highs will only run 24-27, making it the coldest November 27 since 1977.
The clouds will gradually break up tomorrow.
After 13-18 tomorrow night with wind chills near 0, highs Wednesday will run 29-33 with lots of sunshine. With southwest winds at 13-25 mph, wind chills will still run in the teens to 20 in the afternoon. High & mid clouds will increase later in the day.
With thickening clouds Wednesday night, lows may drop to 21-25 initially, then rise to 29-32 late.
Precipitation Thursday may begin as some freezing rain & sleet showers before going to just cold rain showers & highs of 37-40. Rain will end as a few flakes Friday morning-midday. The day looks mostly cloudy to cloudy with 38-43 after 33-34 in the morning.
Saturday looks gross & really just awful. Strong, powerhouse storm will bring east to northeast winds 30-40 mph with lots of cold, wind-driven rain after a brief period of snow/sleet to start (with temperatures 32-35). Highs should run 42-48 & that may be generous. Rain may end as some wet snow Sunday.
Be aware that if this storm track changes any, we could end up with more in the way of snow.
A mix of snow, sleet & rain may return Monday, followed by cold rain & 36-40.
Widespread rain & 40s Tuesday may end as snow showers Tuesday night-Wednesday morning of next week. This will occur as Arctic air roars in. Highs by late next week may only run in the 20s.
