TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — Interstate 65 is now back after it was closed for more than four hours Friday morning.

The Indiana Department of Transportation closed the northbound lanes of Interstate 65 at the 173 mile marker due to a crash around 5 a.m. That is just north of the State Road 26 exit in Lafayette.

According to Sgt. Kim Riley, a semi lost control and hit an inside guard rail. Another semi hit the first and jackknifed.

One driver had minor injuries.

Riley said all lanes opened at 9:30 a.m, however traffic is still moving slow.
