"150 Giant Leaps" Astronaut Reunion
The 'Giant Leaps' campaign will come to a close with an astronaut reunion on Saturday morning.
The public is welcome to attend a meet-and-greet with 13 Boilermaker astronauts from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Homecoming Tent Row, near the Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering.
Pre-signed headshots of the astronauts will be distributed. The astronauts will also be recognized on the field during halftime of the Purdue vs. Maryland game. Kickoff is at noon.
Going Bald for Cancer Research
This weekend, community members will be going bald to raise money for childhood cancer research.
Since 2014, Lafayette has hosted a St. Baldrick's head-shaving event, raising more than $60,000 for childhood cancer research.
You can take part in the event Sunday at Nine Irish Brothers in Lafayette. The fundraising event kicks off at 2 p.m. and ends at 6:30 p.m.
Corgi Race and Costume Contest
Purdue's Theta Tau Fraternity is hosting their annual Corgi Race and costume contest for all you dog fans.
All proceeds benefit Purdue Give Hope, Fight Poverty.
The race kicks off at 2 p.m. Sunday at Purdue's Grand Prix Track.
Tickets are $10 for general admission and $15 for VIP meet and greet tickets.
Haunted Hike and Ghost Stories
The Streets of Monticello Association is hosting its Haunted Hike and Ghost Stories event.
Guides will lead you and your friends through a dark and haunted trail at Altherr Park every 15 minutes.
While your waiting, enjoy some ghost stories at the amphitheater or get your palm read by Madam Rose.
Admission is a free-will donation.
Tours run from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday.
Don't forget to bring your own flashlight.
Big Gigantic and MadeinTYO Concert
Head on over to Elliott Hall of Music on Purdue's campus Friday evening for a free concert to celebrate homecoming weekend.
Big Gigantic and MadeinTYO will be performing. The Big Gigantic duo mixes electronic music with their saxaphone and drums.
The concert starts at 7:30 Friday evening.
