LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — A new leader is taking over at Lafayette Urban Ministry.
Reverend Wes Tillett will be the new executive director at LUM come April 1st.
This comes on the heels of Joe Micon retiring.
Tillett is is from Rensselaer and graduated from Rensselaer Central High School.
He and wife Rita currently live in Kalamazoo with their four children and Goldendoodle
Wes has a BA in Biblical Education and a Master in Divinity from Western Theological Seminary.
He said he is overjoyed to take this position and ready to help.
"Serving those who are most vulnerable and those who could use some help," said Wes Tillett. "Those who could use a hand up not just a hand out."
In 2005, Wes was the assistant to the program director of the LUM After School Program, who at the time was his wife, Rita.
