DELPHI, Ind. (WLFI) — At the beginning of the summer, Delphi High School welcomed three new head coaches to its athletic department. Coach M took over the football program, Austin Cowley will be at the helm for Oracle Basketball, and Amie Gleason will oversee volleyball.

Gleason, a longtime resident of Carroll county, is a former Volleyball assistant coach at Carroll High School. She attended Houghton College in New York, where she became the first student athlete to attend a national tournament for two sports in the same year.

Gleason is a former collegiate basketball and volleyball player, and is hoping to use her experience as a multi-sport athlete to bring a fresh perspective to the Oracle Volleyball program.

"I want them to play multiple sports because it kind of rounds them out as a person," Gleason told Sports 18. "They all bring different things to the table. When they're with me we're gonna try to get as much as we can for that hour and a half or two hours...so then they can go on to be successful."
