LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Franco Navarrete was sentenced Thursday afternoon to a total sentence of 120 years executed in the Indiana Department of Corrections on his convictions.
Tippecanoe County Superior Court Judge Randy Williams ordered the sentence on each count as follows:
Count 1: Murder 55 years
Count 2: Murder 55 years
Count 3: Carrying handgun w/o a License 1 year
Count 4: Use of a Firearm Enhancement 10 years
Counts 1 and 2 run consecutively. (110 years) Count 3 runs concurrent to 1 & 2. Count 4 enhances Count 1 and is consecutive.
Navarrete was found guilty in January of two counts of murder and one count of carrying a handgun without a license.
