Monticello PD make arrest in shots fired incident

Monticello police have made an arrest in a shots fired incident from Wednesday night.

MONTICELLO, Ind. (WLFI) — Monticello police have made an arrest in a shots fired incident from Wednesday night.

It happened at a home in the 500 block of 2nd Street, just a few blocks north of downtown Monticello.

Police said around 7 p.m., dispatchers received two reports of shots fired. According to Monticello police, the suspect allegedly drove away from the home on a moped after a domestic dispute.

Police arrested 34-year-old Evan Mixon on a preliminary charge of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon. He is currently in the White County Jail.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
