LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Monday's message of hope comes from the Chaplain of Franciscan Health Lafayette, Amanda Guthrie.
"No matter the circumstance it's stressful to be here at the hospital," said Guthrie. "I'm always curious when I'm with people here what's the ground under your feet when all else feels shaky. For some people it's their faith, for some it can be meaningful work, activities they enjoy, sense of humor, a connection to nature or some combination all these things and on. So I think that's a real great exercise in this moment for us all to consider what is the ground underneath my feet. What is the thing that keeps me moving forward that gives me a sense of meaning, purpose, joy, hope. Whatever that thing is for you I would encourage us all to ground ourselves in that and to let it hold us up. That being able to connect something bigger than ourselves, bigger than this moment is whats going to see us through."
