LOGANSPORT, Ind. (WLFI) — Teresa Maggio finished with 20 points, 12 rebounds and six assists to propel McCutcheon past Harrison 48-43 in the first round of the Class 4A Logansport sectional Wednesday night.

The Mavericks (14-11) dropped both regular season meetings to the Raiders (21-3) and both contests weren't close.

Harrison crushed McCutcheon 69-41 in the Franciscan Health Hoops Classic on November 18 and it followed that performance up with a 67-25 rout a few days before Christmas.

But the Mavericks had Maggio. The sophomore did not play in those losses. In fact, Wednesday marked Maggio's second game for McCutcheon.

The Mavericks advance to Friday's semifinal round where they will face Lafayette Jeff.

The Bronchos (5-19) edged Kokomo (4-19) in their sectional opener.

Ashlyn McTagertt finished with 22 points in the victory. Sanaa Cartledge chipped in 19.

Lafayette Jeff head coach Andy Baker earned his 350th career coaching victory.
