McCutcheon spoils Central Catholic's Senior Night

Two of the better high school volleyball programs met on Wednesday night. But one team proved its playing on another level.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Two of the better high school volleyball programs met on Wednesday night.

But one team proved its playing on another level.

McCutcheon spoiled Central Catholic's Senior Night in straight sets at McHale Gymnasium.

Chloe Chicoine tallied 17 kills. Brooke Humphrey chipped in 16 and Kailee Cornell posted 30 assists in the win.

Emily Brown had 18 digs.

The Mavericks conclude the regular season 26-1. The Knights finish 19-6.

Sara Sutter and McCutcheon will host its sectional this year. The Mavs will face either Harrison or Marion on October 19.

Brad McCarter and CC will also host its own sectional. The Knights are slated to take on Covington in first-round play.
