McCutcheon, West Lafayette volleyball fall in regional championship

The McCutcheon and West Lafayette volleyball teams saw their season come to an end in regional championship games on Saturday.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The McCutcheon and West Lafayette volleyball teams saw their season come to an end in regional championship action on Saturday.

The Mavericks suffered a four-set loss Hamilton Southeastern in a Class 4A regional final showdown at Noblesville. Sara Sutter's team claimed the first set 25-23 before dropping the next three.

McCutcheon finishes its historic season 32-2.

Meanwhile in the Class 3A Hanover Central regional title game, New Prairie earned a sweep of West Lafayette.

The Red Devils conclude their campaign with a 25-9 record.
