LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI)  — Lafayette Mayor Tony Roswarski is getting personal with concerned citizens.

Community members who signed up in time took turns meeting him one-on-one for Mayor's Night In.

The initiative is something Roswarski started when he took office in 2003.

He says he heard questions about neighborhoods, road repairs and infrastructure.

Many community members even talked about the zoo.

Roswarski says this was a great opportunity to talk to different members of the community.

"I know I can't always tell them what they want to hear or give them the exact answer they want, but the vast most of the time we can correct the problem or even make it better," said Roswarski.

Roswarski says he hopes the next Mayor's Night In will be at the North End Community Center.

He said that'll be in a couple of months.
