TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI)—Mayor John Dennis said while people are encouraged to stay home during the Coronavirus pandemic they should remember small businesses. Several restaurants have moved to carry out only options.
Dennis said people should continue supporting small businesses especially during this time because for them this will have a financial impact.
If you or your family are wanting to eat out, he encourages people to order out from local businesses. He said this is one way we can help each other get through this together.
"If you want an excuse to hop in the car and get out of the house pre order a meal from one of our local restaurants or even some case our local taverns," said Dennis. "They'll walk out and safely hand it to you so that there's no potential of contamination and that'll help keep our businesses growing."
It's been a week since Governor Holcomb ordered all businesses to move to carry out only service. He said this will be in effect as long as necessary.
