In this early spring, we have an early severe weather event in northern New England to southern Quebec. Note the Severe T'Storm Watch & all of the Severe T'Storm Warnings:
Saturday looks like one of the warmest days of 2021 (so far) as warm front surges northward tonight!
Highs of 68-76 are expected (coolest north). THERE IS ONE FLY IN THE OINTMENT. If the low stratus deck lingers too long or gets trapped here, then it will be cooler. However, right now, there is better consensus that the low cloud deck will erode away from south to north through the morning-midday.
Winds will be south-southeast to south at 15-28 mph.
We have a MARGINAL RISK (isolated severe storms) of severe weather from SPC tomorrow evening-night for wind & hail.
Timing of storms across the viewing area would be 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Numerous, widespread storms & severe storms support a very large SLIGHT to ENHANCED severe risk area from the South to Midwest.
Sunday looks partly cloudy (more clouds north & northeast....more sun southwestward), windy & cooler with wind gusts from the northwest to 40 mph with highs 50-58 north to southwest.
We warm up again next week with severe weather risk Oklahoma to Illinois Tuesday, then part of our area Wednesday (MARGINAL to SLIGHT RISK parameters show up). Severe weather risk then returns to our area Saturday, April 10 with MARGINAL to SLIGHT RISK parameters showing up right now.

12 a.m.:
Rain...55...NE 21 mph...Rain 0.95"
Rain continues in the area. Winds are sustained at 20-25 mph in our western half of the viewing area with gusts to 30 mph. There is less wind eastward.
Center of low is around Lebanon & deepening rapidly. Much stronger winds should come in during the 2-5 a.m. time frame.

10:25 p.m.:
Heavy rain, thunder...56...NE wind 21 mph...Rain 0.62"
Heavy rain over the area with embedded t'storms in our southeastern half. Temps varyfrom 42 far northwest to 60 southeast.
Strong storm with 0.88-1" hail risk & wind gust to 45 mph in Howard County, racing northeastward at 80 mph! Another is on its heels with hail & wind threat with brief tornado risk as center of surface low undergoes rapid intensification.
If your ears are bothering you or you have a headache or arthritis pain, it may be tied to the rapidly falling air pressure.
So, any risk of an isolated strong to severe storm (even brief tornado) is eastern Clinton, Howard to Miami counties now.
This, even with temperature near 60 & much of the buoyancy elevated....but shear & low-level helicity (spin) are maximized over the low center. Any storm that can orient itself with the center of the surface low may produce a quick tornado in those mentioned counties over the next 30-45 minutes.
