KENTLAND, Ind. (WLFI) - A man is recovering at a hospital after a crash with a semi tractor-trailer. It happened on Saturday in Kentland.
The Newton County Sheriff's Office was called to the crash at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Princeton Parkway. Police say the semi tractor-trailer was driven by 76-year-old Joseph Shouse of Kentland.
He was going north and was slowing to turn left onto Princeton Parkway with his turn signal on. That's when an SUV driven by 25-year-old Michael Guebara of New Mexico hit the back of the trailer.
First responders found Guebara trapped when they arrived. He had to be cut out of the SUV. He was flown to a hospital in Illinois.
It is unclear what his condition is at this time.
