The man, who refused to identify himself, spent Friday morning protesting outside the Tippecanoe County Courthouse. He stood at the corner of 4th and Columbia streets with a handwritten sign that said "The Stay At Home Order Is Unconstitutional."
"The Constitution says no person shall be deprived of life, liberty or property without due process," said the man. "I think it's unconstitutional to order it. If the government wanted to say, 'We recommend you to stay home,' then that would be worth it. But to do an executive order, that's unconstitutional."
The governor declared the stay at home order on March 23. At the time, it was expected to last until April 7. That date is expected to change.
