MULBERRY, Ind. (WLFI) — A Mulberry long term care facility is reporting more than 30 cases of COVID-19. This comes just a day after WLFI reported Delphi's St. Elizabeth Healthcare Campus reported multiple positive cases. The Mulberry Health center is reporting the facility has thirty-six cases. President of Mulberry Health, Mark Wolfschlag, released a statement that said:
”Currently, we have 26 residents and 10 staff members who have tested positive for COVID-19. We are now in the process of testing all residents and staff and expect to have results very soon. Sadly, we anticipate these figures are likely to rise.
"I am personally communicating to residents’ family members on a daily basis and will continue to do so until our community is COVID-free once again. We will also continue with enhanced infection controls and have suspended all visitation."
Our top priority is the health and safety of our residents and staff, and right now we are doing everything we can to limit spread of the virus.”
WLFI will follow up with Mulberry Health as they continue testing the rest of their staff and residents.
