LOGANSPORT, Ind. (WLFI) - Logansport Memorial Hospital is moving back to a no visitors allowed policy. That's according to hospital spokesperson, Carmen Jones, who sent a press release on Monday.
This will go into effect starting Tuesday, November 17th until further notice. This is in response to the rising number of COVID-19 cases happening in Cass County and the communities LMH serves. On Monday, Cass County is still designated an orange county by the Indiana State Department of health. It had eight new cases and a 7-day percent positivity rate for unique individuals of 19.4%
LMH will consider exceptions of allowing one healthy support person for labor and delivery, surgical patients or patients receiving sedation. Exceptions will be made for patients who are minors and for patients with cognitive impairment, developmental delays or those who require physical assistance.
For end-of-life situations, exceptions may be made and will follow guidelines from the Indiana State Department of Health on the number of visitors allowed.
There are no changes in restricted access to certain areas. Patients can continue to enter through the designated entrances:
- LMH Main Lobby: 6:30 am – 5 pm, Monday-Friday
- Medical Office Building East: 6 am – 5 pm, Monday-Friday
