LOGANSPORT, Ind. (WLFI) -- The principal of Logansport High School is remembering Cpl. Humberto Sanchez as a good scholar, and a talented artist.
Principal Matt Jones said Sanchez took a lot of honors courses, dual-credit college courses, played on the varsity soccer team, and was an extremely talented artist.
He said Sanchez will stand as an example for others.
"There's no greater sacrifice than to serve in the military, and I think he's a great role model, of a kid who wanted to be a Marine and to serve his country, and someone you can look up to and be proud of here at Logansport High School," Jones said.
The high school has a moment of silence every morning.
Monday's was dedicated to Sanchez, and the 12 other U.S. Service Members killed in last week's attack.
