Indiana (WLFI)—Local election leaders are reminding people that early voting for the primary election starts Tuesday and you can vote in person.
Benton County Clerk Natalie Kidd says all of the county clerks have been in contact daily, making provisions to ensure voters are safe.
Kidd said the last day to submit a request for an absentee ballot was earlier this week . But she encourages those who are still concerned to contact their county clerk. She said it's important that the public understands their voice can be heard safely.
"You know there is a little bit of fear and we are just trying to help with that fear," said Kidd. "For them to understand we're there, we are keeping things clean, we have masks available if they would like we have gloves."
Early voting starts Tuesday and runs through Monday, June 1st. June 2nd is primary election day.
