LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Lafayette's Logan's Roadhouse is now permanently closed. The sudden closure came on the same day Spageddies Italian Kitchen quietly shut down.
The two South Street restaurants, about a quarter mile away from each other, posted signs on its doors Monday.
The sign on the door of Logan's Roadhouse thanked its customers:
"To Our Valued Guests: We've enjoyed serving you, your families, and friends over the past several years. The moments you've shared with our team have been phenomenal and we appreciate the support you've shown us. Unfortunately, this location is now closed. For any inquiries, please feel free to call us at 1-800-815-9056 OR visit us online at logansroadhouse.com."
Spageddies posted the following on its door and on its Facebook page:
"After 25 great years in Lafayette, we have made the difficult decision to close our Lafayette location, effective immediately. We are grateful for your patronage and loyalty. It's been a fun ride. Sincerely, papa."
The Tippecanoe County Health Department confirmed to News 18 the closures had nothing to do with their office. Both companies have notified the health department that they have permanently left the area.
Lafayette Economic Development Director Dennis Carson said his office was not aware of the closures. He said there has not been any interest from companies in the land or buildings.
News 18 has reached out to both companies. Calls were not immediately returned.
