LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — A Lafayette woman is charged following an incident with a gun. Prosecutors have charged Lanique Harris with three felony counts, including pointing a firearm and criminal recklessness.
On April 25th near North 13th and Greenbush streets, Lafayette Police Department responded to several reports of shots fired. At the scene, officers spoke with the alleged victim who said he had been arguing with Harris.
He said Harris chased him down a set of stairs with a knife, then grabbed a gun from a car. He said he took off running when she shot at him.
Prosecutors say she admitted to firing the shot.
