Lafayette police looking for robbery suspect

The Lafayette Police Department is asking for help in locating a robbery suspect.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The Lafayette Police Department is asking for help in locating a robbery suspect. According to LPD, on June 22 around 2 a.m., police received a report that a person had attempted to rob a 25-year-old female walking home from work.

The suspect was described as a male, 35 to 40 years of age, 5 foot 3 inches to 5foot 7 inches tall and weighing between 220 to 240 pounds. The male was also described as balding with a scruffy beard. An image of the male was captured on a nearby surveillance camera.

If anyone recognizes the male or has any information on the event, they are asked to contact the Lafayette Police Department at 765-807-1200, or through the anonymous WeTIP hotline at 800-78-CRIME.
