Lafayette police investigating shots fired on the city's south side

Police responded to a call for shots fired early Monday morning.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Lafayette police are investigating shots fired on the city's south side.

It happened on Meadow Drive in the Edgelea neighborhood Monday morning.

That's near the intersection of Beck Lane and 18th Street.

The call came in around 1:15 AM Monday morning according to police.

They say a man was sitting in his truck when a black Mercedes pulled up alongside.

Two shots were fired out of the black vehicle's window, hitting the man's truck.

The man wasn't injured.
