Lafayette police investigating after home shot at on south side

Police do not believe the home was targeted.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Lafayette police are investigating after a home was shot at on the city's south side.

Police said it happened about 7:30 Friday morning in the 2400 block of Apache Drive. That's just north of Miami Elementary School.

According to police, someone in a vehicle started firing shots at a home. However, police said they don't believe the home was targeted.

Officers found multiple shell casings and one bullet hole in the home. Police said the vehicle descriptions do not match from those at the scene. No injuries were reported.
