TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — It took a jury just an hour of deliberation to find a Lafayette man responsible for causing the death of his infant son.
Gabriel Hallman was found guilty on five felony counts, including neglect of a dependent resulting in death.
In October of 2015, police were sent to a South Seventh Street home for a report of a baby not breathing. The boy was airlifted to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital in Indianapolis.
He died a few days later.
Prosecutors say the boy's skull had been fractured twice.
Hallman's sentencing has not yet been scheduled.
