Lafayette man arrested after standoff

A man was arrested in Lafayette Monday morning and is now in the Tippecanoe County jail.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — A man was arrested in Lafayette Monday morning and is now in the Tippecanoe County jail. Police say 22-year-old Brendan Weaver was wanted on a warrant. Police arrived at the home on 19th street around 2:30 a.m. Monday morning. According to police, Weaver barricaded himself in the attic. 

Lafayette Police department's SWAT Team was called in to assist West Lafayette police in the arrest.

After conversations with Weaver by negotiators, he surrendered without incident and was booked.
